Freelance writer and editor Peter Douglas has honed his skills in a career as a journalist and sub-editor, and through writing fiction. Peter is a generalist writer and editor with a vast general knowledge at his disposal. He specialises in the areas of sport and healthy lifestyle.
Profile
Peter Douglas is an emerging writer from North East Victoria with a background in newspapers. Peter studied professional writing and editing before teaching English in Japan. He then entered the media industry via a cadetship at the Yarrawonga Chronicle in Victoria, before moving to the Free Press at Corowa (NSW) and then The Border Mail (Albury-Wodonga).
As well as a keen interest in writing and history, Peter also enjoys running, keeping fit and looking after his three wonderful children. He is also working on his first novel and a compilation of short stories called The Formative Year (see extract in Samples).
